Do yourself a favor and get to the upper east side. Though many think of the ues and murray hill as generally lacking in the area of truly great city eats, there are actually quite a few hidden gems and wa jeal's sichuan is a great example. Dan dan noodles, spicy cold beef tongue, ma po tofu, wonton soup...the list goes on and it's all good all the time. If you love sichuan, this is definitely a great spot to check out with other industry folks on a sunday or monday night.

This place is really really good! They have two locations, I have only been to the one on 39th! Must get their Szechuan dumplings! :) great place to share food with friends or family!

One of my favorite spots to bring a big group of friends. I didn't even realize they had another location though
