Dan Barber's farm-to-table menu is absolutely visionary. With a 4-course daily menu priced at $85 or a multi-course tasting menu priced at $98, each meal is prepared to show the seasonality of the ingredients that comprise it. The food is always well seasoned and prepped to perfection before being sent out of the kitchen and to your table. The flavor of the food and the time the chef spends perfecting his dishes is what makes this place one of most acclaimed restaurants in the United States.

Riverpark has a modern American menu that changes daily. All the ingredients are freshly grown in the urban farm just a few feet away from the restaurant's waterfront location on the East River, or purchased from Greenmarket. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, but make sure to reserve your spot ahead of time, as they can fill up quickly. The prices are quite expensive, but it's perfect for a fancy night out on the town.

Come for fresh, farm-to-table fare from Jean-Georges Vongerichten. I love the crab toast, kale salad, and changing presentation of seasonal produce.

I wasn't aware they offer seasonal produce here. Great to know!

Rosemary's is one of those places that is fancy in both decor and food presentation, but doesn't break the bank. This farm-to-table restaurant has a focus on Italian-inspired cuisine infused with Greenwich Village heritage. The farm that Rosemary's uses is located on top of the roof. You can keep an eye on what is happening there with the rooftop webcam on the restaurants website. My go-to meal at Rosemary's is the chicken, which is seasoned to perfection. It's a great place for a fancy date, especially if you don't want to over-pay for farm-fresh vegetables.

Mas is not an often talked about restaurant. The food is very seasonal and very well looked after. It can be quite formal in the dining room but, the bar offers the same menu with more relaxed service.
