I have recently become obsessed with Superiority Burger by Chef Brooks Headley. As the former pastry chef at Del Posto, he's done a total 180, and I for one am grateful. Image taking all that talent and energy and focusing it all into the most awesome veggie burger?! And please don't miss the side dishes which are creative, tasty and ever changing. They don't take themselves too seriously there and you know the staff is having a great time. The irreverent menu lets you know that "Everything is vegetarian and some things are accidentally vegan; just ask!". And Headley hasn't forgotten his pastry roots. There are always two gelato and sorbetto flavors (one always vegan) which are an ever changing, creative pairing. A recent favorite of mine was grape nuts with grapefruit. It's super casual, mostly takeout, and definitely won't break the bank. $10 will get you an excellent vegetarian spread!

High-end Caterer using restaurants as my R&D
Although this is more grab-n-go style, it is still by far the best VEGAN food that I have ever had! Chef Guy Vaknin really has something special here! I'm a big "meat and potatoes" type of guy, and Beyond Sushi dazzled my taste buds. And, oddly enough, these rolls are MUCH more filling than standard sushi rolls. I've actually used them for my catered events, and people RAVED over this product. Not only do they have three locations now, but they charge a very fair price too! In regards to the actually rolls, they all taste better than they look. Every roll is customized with a special sauce. They also do a specialty roll every month. Definitely worth checking out!

Is this the one in Chelsea Market? If so, it is amazing! I have been there twice and I rave to everyone I know about how great their vegetarian sushi is!
