Another vegan restaurant, but I've brought many meat eaters here and there have been no complaints so far. The menu is solid, and you can go the healthy route with a fresh salad or treat yourself to a vegan cheeseburger. There are several locations in Manhattan and the menu varies slightly at each one.

Yes this is the constant complaint of my boyfriend who eats meat for every meal. Good to know he might find something he likes here :)

Forever will I sing the praises of PeaceFood Cafe on the UWS (I'm sure the other location is great, too, but this one is close for me.) The chickpea fries are to die for, their salads very satisfying, even just a plate of vegetables (props to the Japanese pumpkin in particular!) will do the trick for a carnivore. Don't forget to grab a grasshopper (GLUTEN FREE!) for dessert and perhaps consider a dinner trip for the green curry!

Are there any other Gluten Free options at this restaurant?
Their menu specifically denotes GF options with a symbol. Not a huge list of GF things but enough for me to keep returning. Here's a link : http://www.peacefoodcafe.com/menu/
perfected the art of eating
Yes, the long lines can be quite daunting, but they are there for a reason. The food is always warm and fresh, and there are options for everyone (vegetarian, vegan, non-). The vegetables are always in season, and the sheer number of meal choices is outstanding for a to-go place. My favorite is the Chinese Cabbage Salad and the Beet Rolls. Also, their charred kale is a delicious addition to any meal. Make sure to go early or order online to avoid waiting in the line of loyal Little Beet customers.
Terri is a great little spot for a quick lunch or takeout in Flatiron with another location in the Financial District. Healthy salads, tasty sandwiches, fresh juices. They're actually 100% vegan and kosher.

With vegan and non-vegan options, this is the perfect location for a lunchtime break. Authentic hummus and mouth-watering wraps are a few of the many options available at Nanoosh. Scattered across the city with five different locations, it's easy to make Nanoosh your new go-to spot. The food is decently priced and always fresh. I highly recommend trying the Tabouleh salad. Made with bulgur and veggies, this meal is 100% vegan friendly. Dine-in or take-out, this is the spot for a nutritious (and delicious) meal.

Dirt Candy has some of the best tasting Vegan and Vegetarian food I've had in the city. I particularly love their Korean fried broccoli... which is a take on a spicy Korean fried chicken nugget. Be aware that not everything is vegan but a good amount of Chef Amanda Cohen's dishes on the menu are adaptable to be Vegan. I'm super excited to head in for their brunch menu next!
Amanda whips up some of the most wonderful vegetable dishes in the city! Highly recommend!
Chef Chloe Coscarelli just opened her first vegan eatery in NYC. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, pasta, and sweets. There's a grab and go section stocked with juices, salads, and cold noodle dishes if you're in a hurry. Great spot in Greenwich Village to a grab a healthy, plant-based lunch. When I tried the Guac Burger, it was love at first bite!
