Little Park is an elegant, vegetable and small-plate focused eatery by chef Andrew Carmellini (also of Bar Primi) located in the Smyth Hotel. Andrew Carmellini sources much of his organic produce and fresh seafood from local markets, along with grass-fed beef and free-range chicken that comes from upstate meat purveyors. Both the brunch and dinner are healthy and delicious here. I'd highly recommend the endive salad and the dry aged duck breast.

This is definitely on my hit list. Read a great writeup about it on the NY Times.

I keep hearing wonderful things about this place! Hope I have a chance to try it soon, and the menu looks quite vegetarian friendly.

Mulberry & Vine is a a great little gem for all those 9-5ers in the barren lunch wasteland aka Tribecca. While the nabe is amazing for more destination and Michelin starred restaurants, healthy fast-cas spots are harder to find which is why this largely gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan spot has become a popular a heavy hitter. I recommend the "Pick 3" meal which is a choice of three seasonal sides, and of these, I opt for the cumin-y Southwest Quinoa, charred avocado, and sweet potato glass noodles.

Gust Organics offers 100% organic, healthy fare at very reasonable prices. The interior space is very inviting and filled with natural light. It's a great spot for a relaxing, casual meal with friends. They went fully vegan earlier this year, but I'm sure health conscious non-vegans will enjoy this spot.

GustOrganics is very popular among vegan friends of mine, and you certainly have to admire that the chefs/owners decided to switch to a full vegan menu despite putting the business at huge financial risk and apparently getting hate mail from former meat eating customers. They have a beautiful rustic decor that's perfect for a casual date (especially if you're dating a vegetarian/vegan).

Ellary's Greens has become one of my favorite new casual restaurants in the city - they're able to pull off the difficult combination of serving healthy fare that is both flavorful and relatively inexpensive. They have an inviting communal table if you're in the mood to get to know some fellow diners, and a menu that is easy to find great options if you are looking for items that are vegan or gluten-free. This is a spot you can stop by all summer long for lunch or dinner because it's reasonably priced.
